What does the Frog in your logo mean?

I created my logo based on this painting I made during an expressive art experience in my PhD Program. Often when I make art, the image comes first, and the meaning follows later. The prompt was "What led you to be a depth practitioner?". Depth Practitioner is a person who works with the subconscious in order to bring wholeness, healing, clarity, and transformation to the client. It derived from Carl Jung's work and looks into the symbolism of dreams, imagination, thoughts, emotion, and ultimately the soul.

Before the prompt had been given, it was raining and I heard frogs loudly sounding outside, and I wondered what it meant.

Once the prompt had been given, I didn't have an answer, but I had a gut feeling that I just had to paint this frog. I busted this out in 30 minutes and then wondered why I had made this frog to answer this question. Then as I reflected, I noticed several things:

1) Tadpoles turn into frogs when their senses detect that the conditions are right. A hormone is released, and they begin their transformation.

2) Naruto, my favorite fictional character summoned frogs when he needed assistance during his toughest battles.

3) Frogs are amphibians, living in both water and on land. To me, Water has always represented emotions and the subconscious, while land has always represented logic, stability, and the conscious mind.

Then it dawned on me, I drew this frog as an answer to this question because I am the frog. I am becoming a Depth Practitioner and Coach because it is my full form. I am a frog, living and moving between the conscious and subconscious, between emotion and logic, and bringing clients safely between both worlds to facilitate healing and change.

I wanted my practice to embody what the frog symbolizes—transformation, adaptability, and ability to gracefully move between worlds and change, even when it's scary. This is the intention I bring to every client, no matter what the work is.
